A Chicago native, Terrence currently lives with his writing partner and wife, Melissa L. White in Marin County, across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. He earned his undergraduate degree in journalism from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He has an MFA in writing from the University of Iowa and an MBA in marketing from the University of Chicago. He began his career with the Leo Burnett Company in Chicago where he worked with several high-profile clients including Kellogg’s, P&G, and United Airlines. He next moved on to DDB, also in Chicago, where he worked on the national McDonald’s account and General Mills.
He was later recruited by the Seven-Up Company where he joined as Chief Marketing Officer. He helped launch the no-caffeine category in soft drinks that was credited in turning around the brand. Following Seven-Up he moved to Denver where he taught writing at the University of Colorado in Boulder. At the same time, he launched a popular syndicated radio author interview show that was heard on over 100 stations throughout the country. The show aired for over eight years. He always wanted to live in San Francisco and was offered a position with Burson-Marsteller, the world’s largest PR firm. He joined the agency as a Senior Vice President working with such clients as HP, Intel, and Clorox. In addition, he has edited numerous books and has ghostwritten several more. He has two grown children, a wonderful wife, his co-author, Melissa L. White, and an awesome dog named Max. Mr. Glass and Ms. White have started their own production company, Golden Gate Pictures. He currently teaches at a major Bay Area university.
